What is a Mei Tai Sling?
The Mei Tai sling combines the form of kangaroo carrier and the comfort of the wraparound sling. Wide straps distribute the weight over all your body and reduce load on your shoulders. The straps also support baby’s back and remove the load from his spine. The baby’s position in a Mei Tai Sling furthers in prevention of the dysphasia of the hip joint and reduces the load on the baby’s perineum. A sling goes usually over two shoulders.
Mei Tai Slings are becoming more and more popular in western countries because of its comfort for babies and parents and its versatility.
